Thank you for visiting the Douglas Homes website. As owner and founder of Douglas Homes, I began my desire and vision of building homes when I was in the Air Force. After serving my country, I pursued a career in the steel fabrication industry, traveling to Spain and Italy. Mastering the technique of forming and spinning steelheads, I developed new innovations allowing me to be a part of one of the most successful steel fabrication companies in the United States.

Knowing I was not fulfilling my life-long dream, in 1985 I ventured out on my own, establishing Meyer Builders. Over twenty years later, my zeal for home building has developed into one of the most respected and revered residential construction companies in the Greater Cincinnati area.

After building sixty "custom" homes in the first three years in business, I saw a need for new homes with the quality and style of a custom-built home, but at more afforable price point. I encouraged new homebuyers to customize any of our vast inventory of floor plans or bring me a plan they were already interested in.

I allowed them to add square footage, change a living room into a study, redesign the kitchen or finish the basement. I believe all potential homebuyers should have the flexibility to design their dream home. With that new ideology I launched Douglas Homes, a division of Meyer Builders Custom Homes. More than 3,000 homes later, Douglas Homes still delivers "custom" home designs at an affordable price.

I take great pride, along with my construction crews, building homes that will last the test of time. Every new Douglas Home delivers quality features that exceed industry standards. The majority of our subcontractors who assist in the construction of each home have been with Meyer Builders/Douglas Homes since I formed the company in 1985. The fact that most of our subcontractors have been with us since the inception of our company, ensures that the quality in every new Douglas home is never sacrificed.
