Douglas Homes Design Center

Your new home is an extension of you and your family. From start to finish, you truly can customize the home of your dreams to fit your lifestyle with Douglas Homes. After the purchase of your new Douglas Home, you have a design team waiting with open arms to assist you in the interior and exterior finishes to make your home completely unique. The Douglas Homes Design Center is conveniently located off 1-275/1-74, off Harrison Ave., in our main office.

Design Center Appointments

The selection process begins after you sign your contract with Douglas Homes. One of our professional Design Center consultants will call to schedule your first meeting, The "Preview." The "Preview" is a one hour scheduled appointment where you are able to browse over all exterior and interior selections for your new Douglas Home. Your design consultant will assist you by asking questions and guiding you through our showroom to help with the ideas you envision for your new Douglas Home. At the "Preview" will be able to view different choices of brick, siding, shingles, shutters, interior railings, carpet, wall paint colors, lighting fixtures, ceramic tile, hardwood, cabinets and appliances. After your "Preview" appointment is completed a Douglas Homes design consultant will schedule your "Final" selection appointment. At your "Final" selection appointment all exterior and interior selections will be completed.

Design Center Recommendations

At Douglas Homes we understand that making selections for your new home is a difficult process. Our Design Team recommends before your "Preview" appointment that you visit our model homes and communities throughout the tri-state area. Visiting our communities will help you determine what brick, siding, exterior trim, shingle and paint colors you are most interested in for the exterior appearance of your new home. As you visit our model homes you can start to formulate color patterns you prefer within the interior of your home. Please pay close attention to cabinets, hardwood or ceramic flooring, railing, wall, fixtures and carpet colors. It is always important to bring a fabric swatch or pillow from your furniture to help with your interior color selections.
